Analysis: Steve Jobs of Apple recently disparaged Flash lite as not suitable for the iPhone. Whether that's a negotiating play is not clear. It's interesting that Microsoft has stepped in with a deal. It could put pressure on Apple to do something about the iPhone, which can only play YouTube videos that have been converted into Apple's special format.
There are 2 things that have kept me from buying the iPhone: it has no video camera, and it doesn't have Flash. The phone looks cool, but it skimps out on the video functionality. The YouTube videos are great, but YouTube is not the only game in town.
