Justin Bieber is only 13 years old, but he's impressing a lot of people on YouTube with his voice. Here he is peforming for Usher. He's already performed for Esmee Denters. So I wonder if that means Justin Timberlake has signed this boy to a recording contract?
News: Marie Digby has posted another original song on YouTube -- "Fool," which was featured on an episode of the Hills. Her album will be out on April 8th.
Analysis: I like the song and this split screen effect, but the sound of the electric guitar sounds acoustic to me.
News: Esmee says she's hard at work on her first album: "Right now I am really busy with writing and recording my first album and since you can only have one first album release i want every song to be perfect thats why we are taking our time and were not rushing it :-), please just bare with me and i promiss you that it will be worth waiting for."
Analysis: Sounds like the advice of industry folks. While it's no doubt true you want to put your best foot forward in your first album, there's also the need to strike while the iron is hot. The challenge for the artists discovered on YouTube -- Mia Rose is another that comes to mind -- is the huge lag time between being discovered and putting out the album.
